Our Request: That the town of Rockport allocates a small percentage of Long Beach’s contributions towards unlocking the $2.8M FEMA grant needed to repair the seawall. By preserving Long Beach, the Town of Rockport secures future payments from the Long Beach homeowners. This promotes the town’s financial stability and embraces its vitality.

Long Beach homeowners contribute ~$3M/year to the Town of Rockport through land lease fees and real estate taxes.

From 2014-2034 the total contribution to the Town of Rockport will be ~$61M based on a 4% increase year over year (YOY).

Long Beach homeowners and guests enjoy spending time and money in the Town of Rockport.

This strengthens community relations and supports the local businesses, such as art galleries, restaurants, shops, and theaters.

Long Beach is a true community of Rockport. There are 154 cottages with families on Long Beach.

Of those 154, over 60 families have lived there for more than 30 years (45 families have been there for 50+ years)!
